Summary
This study follows 200 infants from birth to 18 months to understand how they naturally acquire and clear Clostridioides difficile bacteria from their gut. Researchers will look at factors like diet and antibiotic use that affect this process. The goal is to learn more about why some people later develop serious infections, but this study does not test any treatment.
