Scientists track hidden toxins to predict deadly gut Bug's return

Summary

This study aims to understand why C. difficile infections often come back after antibiotic treatment. Researchers will follow 60 adults who have just finished treatment for their first recurrence. They will check stool samples over 9 weeks to see if toxin levels can predict who gets sick again.
