New probiotic treatment aims to fix common vaginal imbalance
NCT ID NCT07481955
Summary
This study is testing a new vaginal probiotic treatment called FB301 for women with bacterial vaginosis (BV). Researchers want to see if using an antibiotic or an antiseptic wash before the probiotic helps restore a healthy balance of vaginal bacteria better than the probiotic alone. About 120 women will try different combinations of these treatments over two menstrual cycles to find the most effective approach.
