Summary
This study tested if using a vaginal cream (clindamycin) together with the standard oral antibiotic (metronidazole) works better than the oral antibiotic alone for treating bacterial vaginosis (BV). The goal was to see if the combined approach could relieve symptoms better and reduce the high chance of the infection coming back. It involved 100 women with BV who were randomly assigned to receive one of the two treatment plans.
