New ablation method aims to slash AFib recurrence rates

NCT ID NCT07281898

First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study tests whether a new ablation approach guided by burst stimulation can lower the chance of atrial fibrillation coming back after a single procedure. About 240 adults with paroxysmal (intermittent) atrial fibrillation who are having their first catheter ablation will be randomly assigned to standard treatment or the new strategy. The goal is to see if adding targeted ablation based on induced arrhythmias improves long-term success.
