First seen May 05, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looks at whether using a patient's own skin cells (called autologous epidermal cell suspension) along with a biological dressing can help second-degree burn wounds heal faster and with less scarring. About 386 people will take part, with half getting the new combination treatment and half getting standard care. Researchers will check wound closure at 4 weeks and track healing, scarring, and quality of life for up to 6 months.
