Could a common skin cream stop burns from getting worse?
NCT ID NCT05856994
Summary
This study is testing if applying a topical ointment called tacrolimus (Protopic®) can help deep hand burns heal better. The goal is to see if reducing inflammation can prevent the burn from worsening into a more serious injury. Researchers will enroll 18 adults with recent thermal burns on their hands to compare the ointment's safety and effectiveness against standard care.
