Zap and stretch: new combo therapy fights burn pain and stiffness

NCT ID NCT07174232

Summary

This study tested a 12-week rehabilitation program for people with severe burns around their upper arm. It combined two therapies: 'Russian current' electrical stimulation to strengthen muscles and 'muscle energy techniques,' a type of stretching, to improve movement. The goal was to see if this combination could reduce pain, increase arm strength, and help people perform daily tasks more easily after their injury.
