First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study tests if a pain medicine called buprenorphine works as well as oxycodone for pain after lung surgery, but with fewer side effects like breathing problems. About 200 adults having keyhole lung surgery will receive one of the two medicines through a pump they control. Researchers will track pain levels, breathing safety, and recovery for up to 6 months after surgery.
