New pain shot could make chest surgery recovery easier

Summary

This study tests a new, long-lasting painkiller (bupivacaine liposome) given as a nerve block before chest surgery. It aims to reduce pain during coughing and movement for up to 72 hours after the procedure. About 96 adults having lung surgery will take part. The goal is to find the best dose and check safety.
