Summary
This study tested whether bumetanide, a medicine, can help reduce autism symptoms in children ages 3 to 6 who were identified as likely to respond based on a blood test and computer model. 66 children took part: some received bumetanide plus behavioral therapy, others only behavioral therapy. The goal was to see if the drug improves social skills and overall symptoms over three months.
