NCT ID NCT06840730
First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study looked at whether Botox injections can reduce pain and improve jaw movement in people with chronic jaw muscle pain that didn't get better with standard treatments. Twenty-five adults received Botox in their jaw muscles. Researchers measured pain, jaw opening, and levels of pain-related substances in blood and saliva before and 28 days after treatment. The goal was to see if Botox lowers both pain and these body chemicals.
