Doctors test scope procedure to fight Post-Stroke pneumonia
NCT ID NCT07345078
Summary
This study tested if a bedside bronchoscopy procedure could help patients recovering from a mild stroke who developed pneumonia and had trouble swallowing. Fifty patients were split into two groups: one received the bronchoscopy along with standard medications, while the other received only standard medications and suctioning. Researchers compared infection levels, swallowing ability, and recovery between the two groups.
