Could a new breathing treatment keep babies out of the hospital?
NCT ID NCT01229384
Summary
This study aimed to see if a new pressurized nebulizer could help infants with moderate to severe bronchiolitis avoid being admitted to the hospital. The device uses gentle pressure to help open tiny air sacs in the lungs while delivering medication, which researchers hoped would work better than the standard mask. The trial was designed for infants aged 2 to 24 months but was withdrawn before any participants were enrolled.
