Scientists search for clues in lungs to predict dangerous Flare-Ups
NCT ID NCT07495982
Summary
This study aims to understand how signs of inflammation in the blood and specific patterns seen on lung scans might be linked to frequent symptom flare-ups in people with stable bronchiectasis. Researchers will observe 100 adult patients to see if these markers can help identify who is at higher risk for more hospital visits and a decline in quality of life. The goal is to gather knowledge that could lead to better monitoring and management in the future, but this study itself does not test any new treatments.
