Study to reveal why some bronchiectasis patients fare worse during flare-ups

This study will follow 100 adults hospitalized for a sudden worsening of bronchiectasis. Researchers will track how conditions like COPD, diabetes, and heart disease, along with disease severity, affect the need for intensive care, length of hospital stay, and risk of death. The goal is to better predict which patients need more intensive treatment.
