First seen Nov 19, 2025 · Last updated May 10, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study tests whether a daily dose of broccoli seed and sprout extract can help heavy smokers break down and flush out harmful chemicals from tobacco smoke. About 135 current smokers will take either the extract or a placebo for several weeks. Researchers will measure changes in urine levels of toxins linked to cancer, aiming to see if this natural supplement can reduce cancer risk.
