Needle-Free fix for hemorrhoid bleeding? new study tests quick procedure
NCT ID NCT07264413
First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study will test a minimally invasive treatment called hemorrhoid artery embolization (HAE) for adults with grade II-III hemorrhoids that bleed. Instead of surgery, doctors block the blood vessels feeding the hemorrhoids using tiny coils, which may cause less pain and allow faster recovery. Up to 250 participants across Europe will be followed to see how well the procedure controls bleeding in everyday practice.
