First seen Apr 24, 2026 · Last updated May 11, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study tests whether giving a short, 30-minute electrical stimulation to the damaged nerve during surgery can improve nerve regrowth and muscle function in the arm and hand. About 21 adults with a cut or compressed median or ulnar nerve between the elbow and wrist will take part. The goal is to see if this simple addition to standard surgery helps recovery and prevents muscle wasting.
