Experimental infusion tested to quiet ringing ears

NCT ID NCT05645432

Summary

This small, completed study tested whether a single intravenous (IV) infusion of a drug called brexanolone was safe and could reduce symptoms for adults with tinnitus. Ten participants received a 6-hour infusion, and researchers measured changes in how loud and annoying their tinnitus was. The main goal was to check for side effects, while also seeing if the treatment provided any temporary relief.
