New shot offers hope against aggressive liver virus

NCT ID NCT07298330

Summary

This study is testing whether a new injectable drug called Brelovitug can safely control Hepatitis D infection, a serious liver disease. About 80 people with chronic Hepatitis D will receive either weekly or monthly injections for nearly two years, or start treatment after a 12-week delay. The main goal is to see if the drug reduces the amount of virus in the blood and improves liver health more than waiting for treatment.
