NCT ID NCT04297085

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study follows 3400 people who have had a blood clot (venous thromboembolism) to see how often clots return and what raises the risk. It focuses on two groups: adults under 50, and people with active cancer at any age. Researchers will track participants for up to 5 years, noting recurrences, bleeding from blood thinners, and other complications. No new treatment is given; the goal is simply to learn more about who is at highest risk.
