Can simple breathing exercises help the very old breathe easier?

NCT ID NCT07258615

Summary

This study is testing whether an 8-week breathing muscle training program can improve breathing strength and function in frail adults aged 80 and older. Thirty participants will be randomly assigned to either a real training group or a very light 'sham' training group, using a special device for 30 breaths a day, five days a week. The main goal is to see if this simple, supervised training can make breathing muscles stronger and potentially improve overall health in this vulnerable age group.
