Hands-On therapy eases breathing for people with hunched backs

NCT ID NCT06656143

Summary

This study tested whether a specific hands-on massage technique for the diaphragm muscle could help people with a rounded upper back (thoracic kyphosis). Researchers worked with 44 adults to see if this technique, combined with standard therapy, could improve how much their chest expands when breathing and help lower their heart rate. The goal was to ease the physical stress that a hunched posture can put on breathing and heart function.
