New breathing technique aims to stop dangerous Post-Surgery lung complications
NCT ID NCT07461285
Summary
This study tests whether providing special breathing support before, during, and after abdominal surgery can prevent dangerous lung complications. Researchers will enroll 206 high-risk patients undergoing major abdominal surgery. They'll use a combination of breathing techniques including pressure support during anesthesia and specialized oxygen therapy after surgery to see if this approach reduces lung problems.
