New breathing help for tiny babies: could it be gentler?

NCT ID NCT07418502

Summary

This study is testing a new breathing support method called Pressure Targeted High Flow to see if it works as well as the current standard treatment (CPAP) for premature infants. Researchers will enroll 78 babies born very early (between 24 and 33 weeks) who are already on breathing support. Each baby will try both methods for 24 hours each while doctors monitor their breathing, oxygen needs, and comfort levels.
