First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study looked at whether a 4-week program of breathing exercises using a special device could help healthy women aged 60-80. The exercises aimed to strengthen the diaphragm and belly muscles and possibly reduce fat in the liver. Twenty-six women took part, with half doing the breathing training and the other half continuing their normal routine. The results help us understand if this simple training can improve muscle health in older women.
