Breathing workouts may ease sleep apnea in severe obesity

Summary

This study tests a 12-week program of high-intensity breathing exercises for people with severe obesity (BMI over 40) and obstructive sleep apnea. Ten participants will use a special device daily to strengthen their breathing muscles. The goal is to see if this can reduce sleep apnea events and improve sleep quality and daytime sleepiness.
