Summary

This study tests whether a 3-month home breathing exercise program can improve daily function and quality of life in 33 adults with inflammatory myopathy, a rare autoimmune disease that causes muscle weakness, including breathing muscles. Participants use a small device to strengthen their breathing muscles. The goal is to see if this training helps them breathe better, feel less tired, and do more in their daily lives.
