Can a simple monitor predict when a pneumonia patient will crash?

NCT ID NCT07286552

Summary

This study is testing a new, noninvasive device that monitors a patient's breathing pattern. Researchers want to see if changes in this pattern can give doctors an early warning that a hospitalized pneumonia patient is getting worse, potentially before they need a ventilator. The study is observing 82 patients with pneumonia from COVID-19 or bacteria to learn if certain breathing patterns are linked to better or worse outcomes.
