Simple breathing routine aims to stop dangerous Post-Surgery lung complications
NCT ID NCT07192575
Summary
This study is testing whether a simple, two-week breathing exercise program can prevent lung complications after keyhole liver surgery. About 364 patients scheduled for this surgery will be randomly assigned to either do the breathing exercises or receive standard care. The goal is to see if this easy-to-do program reduces infections, pneumonia, and other serious lung problems that can occur after surgery.
