First seen Sep 30, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study looked at whether supervised breathing exercises can reduce pain, shortness of breath, and improve daily function in 58 terminal-stage cancer patients receiving palliative care. One group did diaphragmatic and pursed-lip breathing with a physiotherapist, while the other group only got an educational brochure. The goal was to see if these simple exercises could make patients more comfortable.
