Simple breathing techniques tested to speed rib fracture healing
NCT ID NCT06853002
Summary
This study is testing which of two simple breathing exercise methods works better to improve oxygen levels in patients recovering from broken ribs. Researchers will compare using a small handheld device (incentive spirometer) with performing deep breathing exercises without a device. The goal is to help patients breathe better, prevent lung complications, and potentially shorten their time in the intensive care unit.
