Simple breathing techniques tested to help pregnant women breathe easier
NCT ID NCT07365163
Summary
This study tested two simple, drug-free breathing methods to help women in their third trimester who experience shortness of breath. Thirty-six pregnant women were randomly assigned to practice either deep breathing exercises or use a device called an incentive spirometer. Researchers measured their breathing comfort, walking endurance, and lung function before and after the exercises to see which method worked better.
