First seen Jan 24, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study looked at whether breathing exercises, guided by student midwives during labor, could help reduce pain, shorten labor, and improve birth satisfaction. 90 women having a normal vaginal birth took part. Half did breathing exercises with a student midwife, and the other half got usual care. The results will show if this simple technique makes a difference.
