Simple breathing techniques show promise for asthma control
NCT ID NCT07477080
Summary
This study tested whether two specific breathing exercises could help adults with mild to moderate asthma breathe better. Sixty Egyptian adults practiced either diaphragmatic breathing or pursed-lip breathing for 20 minutes, twice daily, over 8 weeks. Researchers measured lung function and chest expansion before and after to see which technique was more effective.
