Simple breathing technique tested to ease debilitating lung disease symptoms

NCT ID NCT07232368

Summary

This study tested whether a slow-paced breathing exercise, practiced at home using a guided video, could help adults with pulmonary arterial hypertension. Researchers wanted to see if this simple technique could improve symptoms like shortness of breath and fatigue, increase walking ability, and enhance overall quality of life. The study involved 42 participants who followed the breathing program while continuing their regular medications.
