Can a natural capsule help divers hold their breath longer?
NCT ID NCT07340996
Summary
This study tested whether a supplement called beta caryophyllene, derived from plants, could help elite freedivers improve their ability to hold their breath underwater. Fifteen experienced divers took either the supplement or a placebo and then performed a single maximum breath-hold test. Researchers measured how long they could hold their breath and checked various body signals before and after the test.
