Can moms keep breastfeeding after a painful breast infection?

NCT ID NCT03730467

Summary

This study aimed to learn more about breast abscesses, which are painful infections that can occur during breastfeeding. Researchers planned to look at women who had their abscess treated with a needle guided by ultrasound. The goal was to understand what causes these infections, how well the treatment works, and whether mothers could successfully continue breastfeeding afterward.
