Breathing tube pressure test aims to soothe surgery Patients' sore throats

NCT ID NCT07341646

Summary

This study tests three different ways to manage the pressure in the breathing tube used during breast surgery anesthesia. Researchers want to see which method best prevents common post-surgery throat problems like soreness, hoarseness, and trouble swallowing. The trial will involve 90 women having elective breast surgery, comparing continuous pressure monitoring, a one-time manual check, and a standard technique. The goal is to find the safest and most comfortable approach for patients waking up from anesthesia.
