Scientists peek inside healing breast tissue after reconstruction
NCT ID NCT05744414
First seen Nov 21, 2025 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study looks at how AlloMend®, a donated tissue matrix, integrates with a person's own breast tissue after reconstruction surgery. Researchers take small tissue samples during a follow-up surgery to check for cell growth, blood vessel formation, and healing. The goal is to understand how well the body accepts the matrix, not to test a new treatment.
