Testing breast reconstruction methods beyond approved limits

NCT ID NCT07434648

Summary

This study aims to compare two types of tissue expanders used during breast reconstruction after mastectomy. It will enroll 80 women to see how well each expander works, especially when used longer than approved or when patients need radiation therapy. Researchers will track aesthetic results, complications, patient satisfaction, and examine how radiation affects the expander material and surrounding tissue.
