Scientists map the hidden ingredients of breast milk

NCT ID NCT05235412

Summary

This study followed 769 Chinese mother-infant pairs for six months to understand what's in breast milk and how it relates to a baby's growth and health. Researchers measured proteins, fats, sugars, and other components in the milk while tracking the infant's weight, length, and gut health. The goal was to learn how a mother's diet, lifestyle, and gut bacteria might influence her milk and her baby's development.
