Scientists investigate hidden dangers in breast milk for vulnerable newborns
NCT ID NCT06037421
Summary
This study aims to understand if bacteria naturally found in breast milk could pose an infection risk to premature babies. Researchers will analyze milk samples from 120 mothers to identify specific bacteria and check if they carry genes that could cause harm. The goal is to improve safety guidelines for feeding breast milk to fragile newborns in intensive care.
