Scientists examine how donated skin helps heal breast reconstruction patients

NCT ID NCT05744414

Summary

This study examines how donated skin tissue integrates with a patient's own tissue during breast reconstruction surgery. Researchers will analyze small tissue samples taken from 30 participants during their second surgery when temporary expanders are replaced with permanent implants. The goal is to understand how well the donated tissue heals and becomes part of the body's natural tissue.
