Could a weakened germ help heal breast implants faster?

NCT ID NCT07460297

ENROLLING_BY_INVITATION Disease control Sponsor: Jianyi Li Source: ClinicalTrials.gov ↗

Summary

This study is testing whether applying a specially prepared, inactive bacteria during breast reconstruction surgery can help patients heal better. The goal is to see if it reduces fluid buildup, allows drainage tubes to be removed sooner, and lowers the risk of painful scar tissue forming around the implant. Researchers will compare this new approach to the standard antibiotic wash used during surgery.
