First seen May 09, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study compared a new low-dose spiral breast CT scan with the standard MRI for diagnosing breast cancer. 293 women who needed an MRI for various breast concerns also received a CT scan. Three experts reviewed the images to see if the CT was as good as MRI at finding cancer. The goal was to see if the CT could be a reliable alternative to MRI.
