First seen Mar 21, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study tests a simple method where doctors tattoo the skin over a breast tumor before starting chemotherapy. The tattoo marks help surgeons later remove the tumor precisely, aiming to save the breast and avoid mastectomy. About 30 women with advanced breast cancer will participate, and the main goal is to see if this approach leads to clean surgical margins.
