Tailored letters boost breast cancer screening in underserved women
NCT ID NCT07472036
First seen Mar 21, 2026 · Last updated May 11, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study tested whether a culturally and linguistically tailored reminder letter could increase breast cancer screening among women aged 50-69 who had never attended screening before. Nearly 8,000 women were split into two groups: one received the standard invitation only, the other also got a personalized reminder. The goal was to see if the reminder helped close the screening gap between women of higher and lower socioeconomic status.
