New drug combo aims to stop breast Cancer's comeback
NCT ID NCT05467891
Summary
This study is testing whether adding the drug ribociclib to standard hormone therapy can better prevent breast cancer from returning in patients who have already had a local recurrence surgically removed. The trial will enroll 200 adults with hormone-sensitive, HER2-negative breast cancer that came back in the breast or nearby lymph nodes but has been treated with surgery and/or radiation. Participants will take ribociclib pills daily for 3 years and hormone therapy for 5 years to see if this combination keeps the cancer away longer.
